Country Shirt

I was looking for a shirt last night when all of a sudden I have noticed this dark blue hanging on with my other shirts. I guess it was not mine. On the second look it has this " Australia" and Analee comes to mind. She is here as I remember she arrived ( with her husband) two weeks ago for a vacation. And no doubt it is from her..my second shirt from her..


Last night also I have seen this and Cindy gave it to me when she went to Hongkong with her mother and her bestfriend. I never bother to wear those shirts..maybe one of these days..Thanks a lot for the gifts..and oh I forgot I have also shirt from Singapore and Canada from my other friends..

My First Week In The Desert

Literally almost all of the Saudi area is a big whole desert. Sand. Little trees. More sand and much more land of sand. Occasional seas. And lots of sun! The photo above is the almost constructed Qurayah 4000MW IPP in which we are working now together of some of my colleagues from Batangas. Our first week here? Almost the same in the Philippines? Definitely not! First was the food difference. We had to eat much of the chicken and the shawarma here. We tried Filipino food in one of the restaurant but it was not the same as in the Philippines. I am missing the Pinas now huhuhu! Second was the work. Same in the Philippines? almost the same. Much harder here? I guess not. We had Pakistani and Egyptians and Saudi nationals on our sides. What I like about in here is the camaraderie and the very supportive Filipino community that I was surprised that even in Facebook when they had noticed we were here they send their "kumusta" and whatever assistance they could assist. Father's Day 2013

More than thirty years of having no father to celebrate at this very special moment for the "foundation" of any family..but I never take his absence not to celebrate the day with some musings and reflections and just strolling myself to pass the special day..got myself almost half of the day in SM-Batangas..looking at those father and sons enjoying the food, enjoying some exhibits.. my lunch in Chowking..loved that big mami wanton..with kangkong and milk tea too.. have watched some recitals in SM Event Center.. Got amazed by how those teens made their big moves in sync with Wii device.. playing some basketball to release some anger over Miami Heat hahahaha!! Finally dinner at Biggs..again Happy Father's Day..to my tatay Valeriano and other dads out there..I should be a father sooner..hopefully..

Not Only For The Money

After several weeks of working with different nationalities and be a friend to them, somehow I get some meaningful conversation with them. We talked about our backgrounds, experiences among others. And ultimately why we have come here. And I've got a not so surprising answer: for the MONEY! as one Indian has said. Literally it was true. But for me, I work not for the money. For the pleasure for having it,what to gain from it. Experiences will be enriched if you have the financial resources to go on some travel and vacation. So definitely there's more to life than to say literally to work for the money. I am enjoying the stay here by means of money and I really appreciate discovering new experiences and people and place in this wonderful city of Dammam and the other suburbs nearby.
